HERE ARE A COUPLE OF JETSKI FRIENDLY LAUNCH AREAS

The TMP (Table Mountain Protected Area) are zoned as protected area and governed by SANPARK in accordance with the law. According to Law Enforcement, any jet ski that enters this area is subject to a minimum fine of R5000 and the vessel will be impounded.

OPBC

OCEANA POWER BOAT CLUB

The OPBC is located in Granger Bay within the V&A Waterfront in Cape Town. It has provided a valuable service to boaters for almost 50 years.

The launch facility at Oceana Power Boat Club caters for the full spectrum of motorised and non-motorised water craft. This includes power boats, jet-skis and surf-skis. The launch facility also provides a service to a number of governmental, institutional, law-enforcement and rescue services.

The OPBC is a family orientated club with a swimming pool and braai facilities for members. The club kitchen offers a value for money menu for both early dinners and lunches. Snack baskets are also available. The club kitchen is open to the public.

MISVERSTAND DAM

CLUB ELANI

Misverstand Dam is situated in Moreesburg and provides a fine venue for training as well as being the venue for Western Cape boat races. The river is navigable for about 12km upstream from the dam wall.

Club Elani at the dam has basic facilities, including parking reasonably close to the water plus a club house complete with bar and mini-café. Club Elani offers several areas of entertainment, including waterskiing, fishing, hiking, biking and other activities on or around the dam.
